Arvind Kejriwal says that he deserves the Nobel Prize; BJP call claim is ‘laughing’; AAP Fire Back | Bharat News

New Delhi: Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva on Wednesday ridiculed AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s recent remarks that he deserves a Nobel Prize for the rule, calls the comment “laughing” and claims that the former Chief Minister would be better for the awards in “corruption” and “Inkampits”.The AAM AADMI party (AAP) rapidly hit back, urged the BJP to focus on distribution and administration in the national capital rather than indulging in “name-jolting”.Delhi AAP President Saurabh Bhardavaj said in a statement, “Virendra Sachdeva is now in the government. It’s time to rule, not only talk. Opposition days are over-now you have to distribute. Delhi is waiting for real work, not for distracted or name-calling.”Kejriwal’s comments, during the release of the Punjabi version of the Kejriwal model book in Chandigarh on Tuesday, praised his government’s performance in Delhi despite obstacles.“Despite being prevented from working, we gave me. I should receive a Nobel Prize for Governance and Administration to do so much despite various difficulties,” he said.Reacting fast, Sachdeva accused Kejriwal of presiding over a regime with scams.“Kejriwal is worthy of laughing demanding a Nobel Prize. The people of Delhi are stunned. If there were domination, anarchy and corruption, he would definitely receive one,” Sachdeva said.He cited the alleged scams during Kejriwal’s tenure – including the controversial renewal of his official residence, by the BJP, “Sheesh Mahal” and other issues such as the class construction project, liquor policy and pension schemes were included.Kejriwal, who served as the Chief Minister of Delhi from 2015 to September 2024, defended his governance model at the Chandigarh program, claiming that it was linked in honesty.“If a government is corrupt, if its ministers are looting, the model will collapse,” he said, the AAP model also showed results in Punjab. He said, “The previous governments claimed that the treasury was empty. But we decided to schools and hospitals, gave free electricity – because we curbed corruption and saved public funds,” he said.Targeting the current BJP administration in Delhi, Kejriwal alleged that the services had “collapsed” after exiting the AAP.Sachdeva said that the residents of Delhi did not forget the “scams” under the AAP watch – cited issues like terror button in buses and mismanagement of welfare schemes for women.
