‘I am not frane to you’: Donald Trump’s ‘Loud and Clear’ message from Colombia student Mohsain Mahdvi out of court

Columbia university student Mohsin Mahdavi Ice was released from Ice custody following an order by US District Judge Jeffrey Croford. Soon after the Vermont came out of the court room, Mahdvi said, “I am telling President Trump and his cabinet clearly and loudly: I am not afraid of you.”
Mahdvi is a 34 -year -old student who is a legal permanent resident for 10 years. He was arrested with snow when he went to his interview about finalizing his American citizenship. While his legal team argued that he was cheated for his arrest, the Trump administration cited a memorandum by State Secretary Marco Rubio, arguing that Mahdvi’s activities could “potentially weaken the US foreign policy”, especially under a provision of the Middle East peace process, immigration and Nationality Act.
Who is Mohsin Mahdavi? Why was he arrested?
Born at the Fur’A refugee camp at West Bank and grew up, Mahdavi moved to America in 2014. A darshan student at Columbia University, Mahdvi completed her graduation course and set to graduate in May 2025. He has been accepted at the School of International and Master Program in Public Affairs, Columbia. He has kept a US Green Card since 2015 and has been in the upper valley of Vermont for almost a decade.
Mahdavi advocated the co-establishment of the Palestinian Students Union in Colombia (also known as the Dar: Palestinian Student Society) and advocating partitions from Israel to the University of Columbia. He was a major organizer of anti -Palestinian protests following the military operations of Israel and Israel in Gaza on post -Israeli military operations on 7 October 2023 and Israel.
By March 2024, he focused on the dialogue, including weekly meetings with the students of Israel, to organize his immigration status and a desire to focus on the dialogue, to discuss the conflict. He has emphasized non -violence and sympathy affected by his Buddhist practice, which he adopted after going to America to heal with childhood trauma.
