New Delhi: International Space Station (ISS), Indian Air Force captain Sukhanshu Shukla gave an emotional message from space by a few minutes after lifting at Axiom Mission 4 (AX-4). The historic launch marks India’s return to the human spacecraft after more than four decades.“Hello my fellow countrymen,” Shukla said in Hindi. Shukla said in his message at the Dragon Space Capsule, “After 41 years, we have returned to space. The AX-4 mission rode a spaceX on a SpaceX Spacecraft from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 12 noon on Wednesday. Shukla is serving a multinational crew as a pilot, headed by NASA’s former NASA astronaut Paigi Whitson. The team is expected to do dock with ISS on Thursday and stay for 14 days.Mission will conduct more than 60 scientific studies from 31 countries. India’s research conducted in partnership with NASA and ESA includes muscle regeneration, microalge development, and study on the effects of microgravity on the human body.
