Bangladesh’s currency drops are out of new notes without the image of Bangabandhu, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s picture

Dhaka: Next to Eid-ul-Aadha, Bangladesh Central Bank on Sunday introduced the new currency notes of 1,000, Taka 50 and Taka 20, leaving the image of the country’s founder father, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.New notes, which will be available in banks in the capital from Monday, will have images of important establishments and scenic places at various national levels.The bank’s Motigil Office began distributing new notes on a limited scale from Sunday. The notes will later be available at other places.Last week, Bangladesh’s bank governor Ahsan H Mansoor said that newly designed notes would not feature any human paintings, but natural landscape and traditional sites would be demonstrated.
