B’Desh Court ordered the arrest of Hindu monk

Dhaka: A Bangladesh court on Monday ordered the arrest of Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, who was detained in connection with the murder of a lawyer, which was hacked outside a court in Chatogram in November last year.
A former ISKCON member, DAS, was arrested at Dhaka Internation Airport on 25 November last year in a traitorous case on alleged defamation of the national flag. He was taken to a chatogram court, which dismissed his bail plea and sent him to jail the next day.
His arrest staged extensive protests, his followers demonstrated in Dhaka and other places. In the chatogram, the protest became violent when Assistant Government Prosecutor Saiful Islam Alif was hacked.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Mafiz Udin, additional chutogram, said, “He (DAS) was arrested in the case of the murder of Advocate Saiful Islam Alif under a court order.” Court officials said that Metropolitan Magistrate SM Ulauddin issued an order during the hearing, accepting a police petition.
Chatogram Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court Public Prosecutor Mofzul Haq Bhuyan said that the police submitted applications demanding the orders arrested in four cases, while the court accepted one of the petitions related to the murder of the lawyer.
According to mainstream media reports, the police have arrested 40 people in the murder case. On 30 April, an HC bench ordered Das’s release on bail. The court’s verdict was challenged before the Appellate Division’s Chamber Judge Justice Rezaul Haq, which was ruling. PTI
