New Delhi: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah OPN said on Thursday that a member commission has been formed during the program of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) IPL victory ceremony, which was claimed 11 lives. Justice Michael Kunha of the former High Court of Karnataka will investigate the incident.The CM said that RCB representatives, even DNA managers, event management company and Karnataka Cricket Body are to be arrested.
Siddaramaiah also announced that the cabinet has decided to suspend the top officials, including the Commissioner of Cuban Park Police Station Inspector, Station House Officer, Jurisdiction ACP, Central DCP, Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in-charge ACP and Bangalore City Police. CM Siddaramaiah said, “We have asked for his arrest, it appears because of the prima facials as if his negligence and apathy led the tragedy.”The case has also been transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation. The judicial commission has also been given a 30 -day time limit to submit the report. CM Siddaramaiah said in a press briefing, “An incident that should never have happened. We reiterate that the government is with the victim families. These strict decisions have been taken after collecting evidence with senior police officers and ministers.”
