New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday announced an increase in the honorarium of Asha and Mamata workers to play “an important health services in rural areas of rural areas”.In a social media post on X, Nitish said that the incentive for Asha workers will increase from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000. Meanwhile, Mamta workers will be given an incentive of Rs 600 per child birth instead of Rs 300.“Since forming the government in November 2005, we have made extensive efforts to improve health services. Asha and Mamta workers have played an important role in increasing health services in rural areas. Keeping this in mind and keeping in mind the hopeful contributions of hope and Mamta workers in strengthening health services in rural areas, it has been decided to increase their honorarium, “Nitish said.He said, “Asha workers will now get an incentive of Rs 3,000 instead of Rs 1,000.
