Bihar Poll: Nitish Kumar pushes the local people in TRE recruitment for teachers, India news

New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday announced a major policy change with the aim of giving priority to the residents of the state in future teacher recruitment. Bihar CM said that this step is part of a comprehensive effort to strengthen the state’s education system.Nitish said in a post on X, “Since forming the government in November 2005, we are constantly working to improve the education system. To strengthen the education system, a large number of teachers have been appointed.”He said that the Education Department was instructed to amend the relevant rules to give preference to the residents of Bihar in teacher appointments. “It will be implemented from TRE-4. Tre-4 will be held in the year 2025, and Tre-5 will be held in 2026, “he wrote.Nitish also confirmed that the STET exam would be conducted before TRE-5.The announcement is less than a month when the state started implementing the scheme that provides 125 units of free electricity to about 1.86 crore consumers under the Chief Minister’s Vidya Consumer Sahayat Yojana.
