New Delhi: Accusing the “clear misuse” of the agencies to discredit its leaders, the AAP on Thursday questioned why the first information report filed against former Delhi ministers Saurabh Bhardwaj and Satyendra Jain was being kept in wrapped and “selective” press notes were being leaked in the media.Delhi AAP convenor, who alleged that only two former ministers were named in the case without any reasonable reason, while all officials of the Health and Public Works Departments, who were actually responsible for executing hospital projects, were spared. “Is the FIR so baseless that the BJP is afraid that it will become a national joke when it is released publicly?” AAP asked.The party issued a press statement saying that the anti-corruption branch admitted in its own documents that the projects were approved in 2017-18 and the health information management system was announced in 2016-17, before Bhardwaz took the office in 2023. “On June 24, 2025, LG Vini Saxena issued a press note, and today, Delhi ACB chief Madhur Verma also issued a press note to the media. LG and ACB are deliberately withdrawing the FIR as it was being orchestrated by BJP Govat,” Bhatadwa said that “said that” said.Jain alleged that both LG and ACB Head mentioned different time periods in his press notes when the projects were approved. “So far, there is no evidence to suggest that these project restrictions were associated with corruption. Also, all these sanctions are before the tenure of Saurabh Bhardwaj. A minister can be held responsible for two to five years of action before assuming office? Is it a joke?” Jain questioned.Bhardwaj claimed that there was no evidence of evidence to suggest corruption in the declaration of projects and hospital management systems, and to blame him for the alleged crimes was “beyond understanding”.
