New Delhi: Lufthansa released a statement after his flight to Hyderabad from Frankfurt on Monday, which was forced to return to its original airport on Sunday after the threat of the bomb.Flight LH752, operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, Frankfurt was departed at 14:29 hours (delayed by its scheduled 13:05) and was expected to land in Hyderabad in 01:20 hours on Monday. However, after the authorities were alerted for danger, they flew in the international airspace.While Lufthansa initially stated that he “did not get permission to land” in Hyderabad, an official at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport confirmed that the diversion was due to the threat of the bomb, while the aircraft was outside the Indian airspace.“Lufthansa Flight LH 752, a bomb threat email, was received on June 15, 2025 at Hyderabad Airport at 18:01 pm. The Assessment Committee of Bomb Danger was formed and all procedures were followed according to the SOP. The Lufthansa Airline spokesperson said in a statement, in the interest of security, the airline was advised to return to the original or nearest suitable airport.“With an abundance of caution, the Lufthansa flight LH752 returned to the point of its departure after informing the authorities from Frankfurt to Hyderabad about the threat of the bomb posted on social media. Our passengers and crew safety is the highest priority of loofing. Till date, the residence was associated with housing.”The airline has made arrangements for housing for affected passengers in Frankfurt, which will resume their visit to Hyderabad on Monday.The incident follows a uniform security concern in June when an Air India flight (AI 379) from Phuket to Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing in Fuket after receiving a bomb threat.
