New Delhi: A poster calling to save Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Brahmins has come in Uttar Pradesh after a controversy over his party’s comment on UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak in Uttar Pradesh. The poster read in the poster, “Akhilesh has to be destroyed, the Brahmin’s Samman is Bacha, which means” Akhilesh should be taken away, the honor of Brahmins should be saved. “The poster was placed at the GPO intersection in Hazratganj by the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Youth Morcha General Secretary Amit Tripathi. It said, “Bhramin Brajesh Pathak Ji’s Sanman Meen, Yuva Morcha Maidan Mein, (In honor of Brahmin Brajesh Pathak ji, Yuva Morcha is out on the ground). The poster in Hindi further read, “Akhilesh ji! It is enough for anti-fraud, anti-Brahmin sports, understand your anti-Brahmin agents, or … the game of politics of the whole caste will be revealed.”Earlier, posters reading “Akhilesh Yadav Mafi Mango” (Akhilesh Yadav apologize) appeared in Lucknow. The dispute began with the war of words between the SP’s official X handle and the deputy CM. In a post, Pathak questioned the party’s DNA, and the SP’s response was considered derogatory by the BJP, causing an FIR.Akhilesh Yadav addressed the controversy on Sunday and assured that such conduct would not be repeated, but also criticized the reader.Akhilesh claimed that the reader was attacking his memory identity. “As a Health Minister, it is expected that you understand that talking dirty about someone’s DNA is really accusing a person, but on going back to his lineage and original age. As we belong to the Yaduvanshi, belong to Lord Krishna, your attack on our DNA causes religious harm to us,” he said.In response to SP’s post, Pathak posted a screenshot of the deleted tweet and questioned whether such a language was acceptable to the official handle of a political party. “Akhilesh ji, is this the language of your party?”
