A 49 -year -old man was shot by police on Sunday morning when he was allegedly gone to a violent rampage with a meat cleaver inside a Brooklyn apartment, killing four young girls and stabbing four young girls before being faced by the authorities.
According to New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tish, the victim has maintained serious injuries – 16, 13, 11, and 8, but expected to survive. According to the news agency AP, the attack was reported at 10:15 am (local time) when the 11-year-old girl was injured and nervous, locked herself in a room and called 911, saying that her uncle had stabbed her and her siblings.
The 911 operator used the location tracking to indicate the address on the 84th Street in Bensanharst. When the officer arrived, a deserted boy took him inside. Tiss said in a press briefing, “At that time, the authorities heard screams from behind the door and immediately started making their way into the apartment.”
Inside, the police faced the suspect, as identified as Long kin chainHolding a large blood -rich meat cleaver. The officials repeatedly ordered him to leave the weapon, but he moved towards him. “Two officials discharged their firearms, fired a total of seven rounds between them and attacked the subject, ending the danger,” Tiss said.
Authorities also found a second blood knife at the scene. The suspect was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. One objective is yet to be confirmed, but CBS News cited family members who said that the chain has a history of mental illness.
“It can end in a very different way,” Tish said, praised her bravery at the age of 11. “She hid in a room to call the police.” He also confirmed a fifth child, a young boy, ran out to get help.
According to the New York Post, disturbing images showed one of the girls covered in blood from head to toe outside the building. A neighbor, known only as Maria, said, “I was still shaking. I am still shaking … The two girls were just covered in the blood.”
Another neighbor, Hambert Hurta, saw the suspect the wheel: “They brought a man out on a stretcher, all bloody without a shirt … they shot him twice.”
Officials believe that chains may be uncles or possibly some children’s father. Tisk confirmed that the mother was not home at the time of the attack.
