BTS member Junguk has released his heartfelt apology after promoting the controversy by wearing a hat with the phrase “Tokyo Great Again” during rehearsal performance. Reminding former US President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again”, attracted rapid criticism due to his alleged ‘insensitivity’ from Neetzance in South Korea and his alleged ‘insensitivity’ amidst the ongoing historical tensions between Korea and Japan.The incident occurred at the Goying Stadium during a rehearsal for fellow BTS member J-Hop ‘Hope on the Stage’ final concert. A picture of Junguk wearing a hate was quickly broadcast online, ignoring the backlash on the social media platform. Responding to the controversy, Jungkuk posted a formal apology on the waves on 14 June KST, repenting the incident and took full responsibility.“Hello, it’s Jungkuk,” he started. “My heart is heavy on the fact that I am writing this right after my reunion. I honestly apologize for disappointing and angry that I wore during rehearsal.”He clarified that he did not understand the intense implications of the phrase: “It was due to my insufficiency that I went to the stage wearing a hat without examining the historical and political meaning held in words, and for this, I am reflecting myself deeply. I just regret it.”Accepting the seriousness of misunderstandings, he said, “There is no place to make excuses. It was my insufficiency and negligence that brought about this situation. From now on, I will work with more and more care and thoughts. I will politely accept all criticisms and decisions directed towards me for my mistake.”He concluded, “The cap was immediately dealt with.
