Finland broke the 50-year heat record with more than 30 C from 14 days

Helsinki: Finland has broken the record of more than 50 years old weather as the country is looking at the longest period of temperature above 30C, the Finnish Meteorological Institute said on Friday.As Parikkala hit 30.3 Celsius before noon in East Finland, it meant that the temperature has now increased to 30 C in a row in some parts of the country, which breaks the last record of 13 days consecutive days from June and July 1972. The institute wrote on X, “This is the longest period of consecutive days, which began with a temperature of more than 30C.” The Nordic country is between the duration of hot weather which the institute has described as “exceptionally long” in places. Meteorologist Vile Siskonon said at the Institute of Meteorological: “The duration of hot weather will be long and may be more of them.”
