‘Who was fired without any reason’: Who is the Mauurin Comi, Manhattan prosecutor who worked on Epstein files and scenes ‘Didi’ Comombs?

The US Department of Justice on Wednesday fired a federal prosecutor and daughter of former FBI Director James Comi in Manhattan on Wednesday. The reason for his firing was not immediately clear. Comi had worked on several high-profile cases, including the prosecution of Financer Jeffrey Epstein as well as rapper scene “Didi” Combes. Reacting to firing, Maurin Comi said there was no reason behind his dismissal. The New York Post said, “Yesterday was my last day in the office. I was expelled from the main justice through a memorandum, which was not the reason for my end,” he wrote to the colleagues in an email. This comes when the administration is entangled in dispute after the Jeffrey Epstein’s investigation is discontinued.
Who is Maurin Comi?
Maurin Comi was an experienced lawyer in the southern district of New York, who was widely considered one of the most prestigious prosecutor offices of the Department of Justice. He worked on the prosecution of Financer Jeffrey Epstein, who died in custody in 2019, as he was waiting for the trial. Comi achieved significant success in several high-profile prosecutors, especially in the misuse of young girls in misuse of Gisline Maxwell on allegations of sex trafficking to assist Financer Jeffrey Epstein. In an announcement submitted in January, Comi argued that release of documents on Epstein case could damage the government’s position on Maxwell’s possible reconsideration. He said that by making the content public, witnesses can be exposed to “potential embarrassment and oppression”, making them discouraged by testifying, according to the New York Times. Recently, Comi led the prosecution of Scene “Didi” Comombs. The test against Combes ended in a partition judgment and was convicted on allegations related to prostitution but was acquitted of more serious allegations. In recent months, Comi Trump came under repeated attacks from the right-wing base, including a distant political activist Laura Lumor, who urged the Attorney General Palm Bandy to set him on fire in May.
