New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the petition of Justice Yashwant Verma by challenging the in-house inquiry process and its conclusions, which entangled them in heavy cash discovered from their official residence premises, and then the President and the Prime Minister recommended CJI Khanna’s recommendation to start a removal proposal against him.A bench of Justice Di Dipankar Dutt and AG Masih rejected every argument raised by senior advocates Kapil Sibal and Mukul Rohtgi on behalf of Judicial Verma and said that the investigation process followed the in-house process set by SC in their decisions. While writing a decision for the bench, Justice Dutta said that the in-house investigation process is not parallel to the constitutional process to remove the judge of the Constitutional Court, and therefore Sibal argues that it was unconstitutional that there was no water.
