New Delhi: Opposition on Wednesday staged a unique protest against Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gikwad outside the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, allegedly assaulting a canteen worker on stale food.Opposition MLAs gathered on the stairs of the assembly, wearing the waste and towels, and “we condemn the tights -an-nation gang.”The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray was followed by a protest that a veil was taken in Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad and Sanjay Shraats, in which he was referred to as part of the “Chadi-Banian Gang”.“Whatever they want to do, because there is no fear,” Thackeray said.Jib mentioned the viral video, in which Buldana MLA Sanjay Gikwad wearing a vest and a towel was allegedly seen physically attacking a canteen worker over a stale team.Last week, Gaikwad allegedly surpassed an employee and rescued each other in the hostel canteen of Akashwani MLAs in Colaba, Mumbai. The incident strongly condemned not only from the opposition, but also from the ruling alliance, which included Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde.Following the incident, the Mumbai Police registered a non-cognitive offense against Gikwad. Additionally, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) suspended the license of the canteen contractor.Meanwhile, another Shiv Sena MLA, Sanjay Shisat, faced a controversy, after a video surfaced, he was shown a partially open bag sitting in a room with a bundle of currency notes. Shirat dismissed the allegations, called the video “well thought out conspiracy”.
