Chhattisgarh Police fixes more than 4,400 missing men and women under ‘Operation Talaash’ India news

The Chhattisgarh Police has successfully rescued about 4,472 missing persons-men and women have been included-this intensive campaign was conducted from 1 June to 30 June, 2025 under the “Operations” launched “Operations”, which expands the scope of the state, expanding the scope beyond the first child’s focus “the first child’s focus”.,Arun Dev Gautam, Director General of Director General of Police and Inspector General of Police Ajay Yadav, Police Headquarters prepared a comprehensive strategy for this month’s long campaign. Each missing person’s family was personally approached, and the teams were sent to potential places based on intelligence and intensive analysis.The reach of the operation expanded beyond the borders of Chhattisgarh, in which police teams coordinated nationwide efforts. As a result, 3,207 women and 1,265 men were safely located and brought back home. Of those, 252 persons were recovered from various states, including Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Karanat, Utarakhand, West Bangekand.Districts Bilaspur and Durg led the rescue efforts with outstanding results, recovering 1,056 and 807 missing persons respectively. Meanwhile, Mahasamund and Raipur also contributed significantly by detecting 267 and 217 persons.Police officials said that the methodical plan, effective use of technology, community engagement and inter-state cooperation helped to complete the operation. This initiative has also strengthened the confidence of families in law enforcement and created a safe environment for the weaker population.
