Cincinnati Horror: Under the fire to comment on Councilvoman Victoria Parks Downtown Assault; Users demand resignation

City Councilman Victoria Parks has faced a growing criticism after a comment from his Facebook account, which appeared to protect a violent attack in the city of Cincinnati in the previous weekend. A Facebook user, Lohna Posted a video showing a brutal attack on two persons near the corner of the fourth and Elm Street in the early hours of Saturday morning. In response to the video, a comment related to the Parks’ Facebook account was read, “He begged for that beat down!” The comment continued, “I am grateful to the whole story.” The account under consideration appears to be related to the parks and lists the title of his job as a “member of the city council in the city of the Cincinnati government”. The New York Post reported that his previous roles as the commissioner in the Hamilton County, Ohio government also mentioned, and the details of the Hamilton County Commissioner Todd Portune as the Chief of Staff, the details that match their official biography on the Cincinatti website city, told the New York Post. The city council of Cincinnati acts as a nonpartison body, but all nine members, including the park, have been supported by the local Democratic Party. The parks have at least two other Facebook accounts, one last active in May and the other which has not been updated since 2022. Pages associated with controversial comments include several years of posts, mostly about his professional background. The comment expressed widely displeasure online, in which screenshots were rapidly broadcast on social media platforms. Phil Plmar, the representative of the 39th district state of Ohio, posted on X, “Sincinati Councilvoman Victoria Parks immediately resigned! Other posts included stronger messages, such as “you a racist pig, Victoria Park,” and “It’s crazy!” Many users demanded him to resign. The video captured in the video shows a group beating two people, including a woman, who was knocked unconscious and lay down on the road. The incident occurred in the Central Trade District of Cincinnati and has been widely condemned by the residents and officials of the city. In his official biography, Parks highlighted his role in “passing racism as a public health crisis” while working with the Hamilton County Government. She also claims credits to introduce and pass junethe as a payment holiday for county employees. Parks announced in January that it would not plan to retire at the end of its current term. Cincinnati Furratory Order of Police President Kane Cabber criticized the comment about Fox News Digital, “It is unconscious that an elected officer would celebrate violence in the city that he was voted to serve.”“It highlights the poor political atmosphere that police officers, residents and visitors are currently permanent. Thankfully there is an election in November. I urge voters to vote for change!” The officer added further. The parks have not responded to several requests for comments. Moli Lire, director of the office of Cincinnati City Manager’s office, confirmed that he saw a Facebook post in the person in the city hall but refused to comment.
