The embassy said in a post on X on Thursday, “A case related to the disappearance of three Indian citizens is being done in coordination with the relevant judicial officials by the Department of Consular Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.” “The Embassy of the Republic of India in Tehran is also being informed about the action within the Judicial System of Iran’s Islamic Republic through coordination with the Department of Consular Affairs. Given the nature of this incident, Indian citizens are strongly advised not to cheat from the promises of informal persons or illegal Indian agencies.” Earlier on Wednesday, the Indian Embassy in Tehran said that family members of missing persons approached the mission with concerns about their sudden disappearance of their relatives. “Family members of 3 Indian citizens have informed India’s embassy that their relatives are missing after visiting Iran,” the statement said.
