Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami practiced yoga in Dehradun on Thursday morning before the International Day of Yoga.CM Dhami said that yoga has become popular around the world under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and appealed people to adopt yoga to stay healthy.Uttarakhand CM told ANI, “Under PM Modi, Yoga has become popular worldwide. Next to June 21, International Day of Yoga, we organized a program to spread awareness about yoga today. I appeal to the public to adopt yoga to stay healthy.”This year on International Yoga Day, Visakhapatnam is ready to host a grand program, which will also mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation.The city will host a program, which will facilitate people performing yoga at one place – an attempt to create a new world record.It will be with a 27 km long coastal road of Visakhapatnam, which will serve as a venue for this huge yoga session. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is also expected to join PM Modi for yoga performance.On Tuesday, the Andhra Pradesh government held a high-level review meeting at the VMRDA office in Visakhapatnam, which was to finalize the preparation of the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations on 21 June. The event, which is expected to attract a record turnout of five million people, will be held with large scale arrangements to ensure a smooth performance.The meeting was attended by ministers Vangalpudi Anitha, Achenadu, DBV Swamy, BC Janardhana Reddy, and Angni Satya Prasad along with MP Bharat, Uttaradha alliance MLAs and many other public representatives. Home Minister Vangalpuri Anitha addressed the press after the meeting and shared major details about the incident. ,The people of Visakhapatnam are lucky to organize the 11th International Yoga Day in Visakhapatnam, “he said.He said that the state government had taken International Yoga Day very seriously and the Chief Minister took care of the arrangements.Exposing the importance of the incident, he said, “Yoga is a gift from India to the world. Yoga is a part of life. We are moving Andhra Pradesh towards a healthy Andhra Pradesh.“To ensure the proper management of the incident, officials stated that 326 coaches were prepared to accommodate the participants. More than 2,000 CCTV cameras were installed at the entire venue to maintain crowd monitoring and security.
