Fazilka: A major case of alleged crypto mining came to light on Thursday in Jalalabad village in Fazilka district, where illegal crypto mining was being done in a suspected building near sand mines. Mining came during an electricity department raid on the complaint of unusually high power consumption.When the electricity department inspected the building, it was found that many times more electricity than normalIt was being used there. Taking immediate action, it cut the power connection and informed the police. Police investigation revealed that the building was specifically soundproof and many computer and special machinery were installed inside. The owner of the building closed his house and ran away from the spot.According to the police, in the initial investigation, this appears to be a case of crypto currency mining.
