Amid growing stress in the city of Los Angeles, Mayor Karen Bass has declared a local emergency and imposed a curfew in specific areas. This step comes when large crowds gather to oppose recent functions by immigration and customs enforcement (ICE).In a post on X, the mayor urged the residents to stay safe and escape the downtown zone during the curfew period.

- Declaration of Curfew Schedule: Curfew will be effective from PDT from 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
- Region under Curfew: Curfew Los Angeles applies to specific areas in the city. Mayor Bass said that it covers one-class area from 5 freeway to 110 freeway, and from 10 freeway to the point where 110 and 5 merges.
- Official guidelines for residents: The city has also ordered to close all non-essential businesses in the affected area by 8:00 pm. Public meetings, including protests, are not allowed during curfew hours. Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), 700 Marines and 4,000 National Guard will implement restrictions.
