Cyprus, Canada and Croatia: PM Modi’s first foreign visit since Operation Sindoor – Full Schedule | Bharat News

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to go on an official visit to Cyprus, Canada and Croatia from June 15 to 19, on Saturday, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced on Saturday.According to Mea, PM Modi will start his journey in Cyprus on 15–16 June, then will visit Kananskis, Canada on 16–17 June to attend the G-7 summit before concluding with an official visit to Croatia on 18 June.“On the invitation of the President of Cyprus, Nicos Chrystodoulides, PM Modi will pay the official visit of Cyprus on 15–16 June. It will be an Indian Prime Minister’s first visit to Cyprus in two decades. While in Nicosia, the Prime Minister will interact with the business leaders in Christodolides and Limasols.”The visit is expected to confirm the shared commitment of two countries to strengthen bilateral relations and promote India’s engagement with the Mediterranean region and the European Union.In the second phase of the tour, PM Modi will lead Canada to attend the G -7 summit on the invitation of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Karney. “This will be the 6th consecutive participation at PM Modi’s G -7 summit,” the MEA said.At the summit, the Prime Minister will attend the discussion with the heads of international organizations on suppressing global issues including the Prime Minister G-7 leaders, outreach countries and energy security, technology, innovation, AI-Energy Nexus and Quantum-related subjects. PM Modi has also been scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings on the banks of the summit.The last stop of his visit will be Croatia, where PM Modi will pay an official visit on June 18 at the invitation of Croatian Prime Minister Andrez Plankovic. This will mark the journey for the first time in Croatia by an Indian Prime Minister, described by Mea as an important milestone in the India-Croatia relations.During his stay, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Plankovic and meet Croatian President Joran Milavik. The visit is expected to further strengthen India’s relations with their colleagues in the European Union.
