‘Destroyed final aircraft’: Israel attacked Sanaa Airport in Yemen after intercepting the Houthi missile
Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katj announced on Wednesday that his fighter jets attacked the targets at Sanaa Airport in Yemen, after the launch of two projectiles group towards Israel on the previous day.Katz said in a statement, “Air Force jets have killed the terrorist target of a terrorist organization at the airport in Sana and destroyed the final aircraft.” He said, “This is a clear message and a continuity of our policy: whoever sets fire to the state of Israel will pay a heavy price.”
The Houthi media later confirmed the Israeli attacks at the airport.

Military action followed another projection launched from Yemen by intercepting a missile in Israeli and the Iranian -backed group.Hauthis, which controls adequate areas of Yemen, later admitted to launching two “ballistic missiles” towards Israel.Since October 2023, after Hamas’s attack on Israel and the upcoming Gaza struggle, Hauthis has consistently launched missiles and drones in Israel.Yamani forces, who worked in support of Palestinians, suspended their operations during the two -month Gaza ceasefire until March, later resumed when Israel recommended its military operation in the region.Despite the interception of most projectiles, a missile reached around the Ben Gurian International Airport near Tel Aviv in early May, resulting in several international flights to Israel.Israel has carried out various counterfeit attacks in Yemen, targeting ports and Sanaa Airport in Yemen.The Israeli army confirmed Wednesday’s strike that destroyed the aircraft belonging to the group.According to the army statement, “The aircraft was used by the Hurti terrorist organization for transfer of terrorists, who advanced terrorist attacks against the state of Israel”.The army said, “Similarly for Hodida and Salif ports that were killed last week, Sanaa’s main airport is continuously operated by the Hurti regime and is used for terror objectives,” the army said.
