After the tragedy, Fawad’s film Abir Gulal faced a backlash with a call to stop his release. On Wednesday, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) demanded a ban on the film. He announced a complete non-cooperation with Pakistani artists, singers and technicians in the Indian entertainment industry and promised to take all necessary steps to block Abir Gulal’s release in India.
Theater is reluctant to screen Abir Gulal
According to the report in HT, the owner of the theater hesitates to screen Abir Gulal for fear of backlash. While the production team is trying to convince them, the release of May 9 is no longer possible. The release can be postponed, as theaters are not currently ready to show a film starring a Pakistani actor in theaters.
