New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin in an official statement on Monday used the Delhi Police of the word “Bangladeshi Language” for Bengali, which was “written in our national anthem in a lot of language.”“Delhi Police, under the Union Home Ministry, described Bengali as ‘Bangladeshi Language’. It is a direct insult to the language in which our national anthem was written,” he said in a post on X.The statement that refers to Bengali as a “Bangladeshi language”, he said, an “unknown errors or slip”, but was an attempt to “identify arms”.He said, “Such statements are not inadvertently errors or slip. They highlight the dark mindset of a regime that continuously reduces diversity and weapon identity,” he said.Expressing support for West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Stalin said, “In front of this attack on non-Hindi languages, Honorable @MamataOFFICIAL stands as a shield for Didi language and people of West Bengal. He will not let this attack be near without a fitting response.”The notice showed a Lodhi Colony Inspector’s requirement for Banga Bhavan Officer-Prakari in Chankyapuri, which was helping to translate “written texts in Bangladeshi language” in Hindi and English.It is called “condemnable, derogatory, opponent, national, unconstitutional”, Banerjee said, “It insults all the Bengali-goals of India. They cannot use such a language that we all degrade all.,Banerjee has accused the BJP of politicizing the language, alleging that Bengali speaking migrant workers outside the state were wrongly labeled as Bangladeshis and were deported.
