Former India captain and 1983 World Cup winning team member Chris Srikanth mourned Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Head coach Justin Langer and Mentor Zaheer Khan to poorly handled Rishabh Pant in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).
LSG captain Rishabh Pant, who was acquired for Crore 27 crores by the Lucknow franchise, has scored just 110 runs in 10 outings.
“I didn’t understand. Why did he come to bat for just two balls?” Srikanth said on his YouTube show Chik Cheka.
“What is Langer trying to do? What is the team management trying to do? What are Zaheer Khan trying to do?”
In the last game of LSG against Delhi Capital, Rishabh Pant went out to bat at number 7 with two balls in the innings. The pants were rejected by the last ball of the innings, which failed to score in any run.

Do you think Rishabh Pant should have batted high in order?

Srikanth said, “I don’t know. Some people say that Rishabh Pant wanted to go to bat, but he did not allow him.”
“But he is the captain. Why should he require permission to go? At the end of the day, this is the decision of the team management.”
Former India captain Anil Kumble also questioned pants batting.
Who is that IPL player?
Kumble said on Jiyokinema, “It’s okay if you wanted to bat more independently under less pressure from coming late, but it was too late.”
“What kind of disappointment Rishabh is showing, it is clear that he was doing injustice. He probably wanted to bat high.
“Was this his decision? Or was it the coach of Justin Langer, or maybe Mentor Zaheer Khan?
Will take on lsg Punjab kings On Sunday at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala.
