New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday responded to US President Donald Trump’s threats to India’s threats, stating that India will “never compromise in the interest of farmers”. Speaking at the Ms. Swaminathan Shatabdi International Conference, PM Modi said, “For us, the interest of our farmers is our top priority. India will never compromise on the interests of farmers, fishermen and dairy farmers.” Without the name of the United States or Trump, PM Modi indicated that he knew about the cost of taking such a stand. The Prime Minister said, “I know that we will have to pay a heavy price for this and I am ready for it.
