Amritsar/Chandigarh: Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia was arrested on Wednesday by the Vigilance Bureau (VB) from his residence in Amritsar, which was booked in the case of an inconsistent assignment at Punjab State VB Police Station at 4.40 AM. Walm, the vigilance team led by Wal Hoken, Senior Superintendent of Police (VB) Lakhbir Singh, landed at Majithia’s house in Green Avenue in Amritsar, an oral conflict between Majithia and the team, of which the video has been shared by Majithia on social media. Majithia alleged that the entire operation was being carried out due to political vengeance, and repeatedly asked the media to record the raid. Majithia is the brother -in -law of the depressed chief Sukhbir Singh Badal.Addressing the media out of his residence, his wife, Ganiv Kaur, who is depressed from the Majita Assembly constituency, alleged that the vigilance team forcibly entered their house and behaved broadly.According to VB, the FIR against Majithia was registered on the basis of investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which was investigating the drug case against the SAD leader registered in 2021 and investigating by VB. A spokesperson of the bureau said, “Police station Punjab State Crime and Vigilance Bureau registered 2021 FIR No. 02 Investigation by the SIT revealed” Majithia’s large scale fluffy of drug money convenient by Majithia. Initial investigation shows that more than Rs 540 crore drug money was looted in many ways … “A VB spokesman said, “VB has registered a case based on a report by SIT Investigating FIR number. 02, dated 20 December, 2021, PS Punjab State Crime, registered under Section 25, 27-A and 29 of the NDPS Act 1985 in SAS Nagar (Mohali), indicating enough evidence of large-scale laundering of drug money by Majithia. ,ALSO READ: SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia’s vigilance Sleiths raid house, wife faced the officials forcibly admission; To examineA VB spokesperson said, “So far, drug money of 540-crores of rupees has been tracked as an illegal generation and a cabinet post has been organized in the Punjab government as an MLA, using the influence of Majithia as a public servant.The FIR against Majithia mentioned, “The explanation/statement provided to the SIT is baseless and cannot be considered as unrealistic data …”It is also read that, “Property and expenses spent by Majithia for 2007 to 2012 show that there is no explanation for the source of income to obtain the property.” According to a VB spokesperson, “Search and seizures have been conducted by SIT on 22 persons and at three places by the Vigilance Bureau, which are more than 30 mobile phones, 5 laptops, 3 iPads, 2 desktops, several diaries, many property documents and many documents of Saraya industries.”,In Mohali, his lawyers Arshdeep Singh Kaller and HS Dhanoa were allowed to meet the Akali leader for one hour in the evening at the bureau headquarters. The bureau later confirmed that Majithia would be produced in court on Thursday. A large number of SAD supporters gathered outside the bureau office, raising slogans against the Aam Aadmi Party -led Punjab government. The region was converted into a virtual fort with several barricades, road closures and restricted public movement.
