New Delhi: In view of the high influx of fake news during Operation Sindor, the defense staff (CDS) chief Anil Chauhan said that 15% of the armed forces went to fight the narratives, ANI said on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion of Shangri-La dialogue, General Chauhan said, “It was a constant attempt to combat fake news. Our communication strategy was deliberately; we chose to measure, not reactive, because misinformation can quickly distort public perception during high-day operations.”According to CDS, India’s strategy for management of narratives should prioritize verified facts and reliable evidence, even if it is more measured or delayed by public reaction.
