According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), a 2.4 gathering earthquake was reported in Long Beach at 11.34 pm on Sunday at 11.34 pm on Sunday.The earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 7.6 miles, focused at a distance of less than one mile from Los Angeles, two miles from Carson, four miles from Signal Hill, and four miles from Rancho Palos Vardes.There have been no earthquakes of 3.0 or more magnitude in the area in the last 10 days.According to USGS data, the Greater Los Angeles region experiences an average of 59 earthquakes each year in the 2.0 to 3.0 range.
