Islamabad: The 4.6 earthquake in a statement by the National Center for Sisamology (NCS) shocked Pakistan.According to the NCS, the earthquake occurred late on Thursday, at a shallow depth of 10 km, which made it susceptible to the afterchox.In a post on X, NCS said, “M: 4.6 of EQ: Par: 12/06/2025 20:02:04 IST, Lat: 27.18N, Long: 64.96 AD, Depth: 10 km, Location: Pakistan.”Shallow earthquakes are usually more dangerous than deep earthquakes. So this area is prone to violent earthquakes, as two tectonic plates collide.
