Patna: Bihar’s opposition block and NDA claimed victory and attacked each other after stopping the special intensive amendment (SIR) of the electoral role in the state after SC, but advised the EC to consider Aadhaar, voter ID and ration card for verification.Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, Tejashvi Prasad Yadav accused the EC of acting like a ‘BJP cell’. “EC is creating confusion and not issuing any clarification. Why did it not address the concerns of common voters?” He said on Thursday.RJD spokesperson Chitranan Gagan said, “Those who plan to remove the names of minorities from the poor, Dalits, backwards and electoral roles will be shocked by SC’s comments.” CPI-ML General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said that the court’s comments valued widespread concerns.However, the BJP welcomed the SC’s decision, which did not have to stop Sir. Health and Law Minister Mangal Pandey said, “SC rejected the baseless arguments of the opposition and admitted that the pole panel is fulfilling a constitutional duties. The real concern of the opposition parties is to protect the intruders and copy voters.”Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha said, “The opposition wants to deny its rights by spreading wrong information to real voters.” JDU Minister Ashok Chaudhary said, “Amendment is in Bihar and the best interest of the country. The opposition is deliberately creating confusion.”
