New Delhi: Rajya Sabha MP Kamal Haasan advocated education, called it the need to break the series of “dictatorship and Sanatan”. He warned against using any other means, emphasizing that without education, it is really impossible to win, because the “majority fools” can still lose one.“Education is the only weapon that can break the chains of dictatorship and Sanatan,” Annie on Sunday said to the Rajya Sabha MP. He was addressing a gathering at the Agrams Foundation event in Chennai.He said, “Do not take anything else in your hands, only education. We cannot win without it, because the majority can lose you. The majority fools (Mudergal) will lose; Knowledge will be defeated alone. That is why we should hold this (education) firmly on it,” he said.Earlier this year, Haasan faced a backlash for his comment on Kannada language during the promotion of his film Thug Life, for which the actor refused to apologize. The move attracted the intervention of Karnataka HC for not releasing forgiveness.The Supreme Court then intervened and ruled that Karnataka HC was wrong to demand an apology from Hassan on its Kannada comments.
