European leaders to meet Zelansky in rare show of Ekta since the beginning of Ukraine War

For the first time when Russia attacked Ukraine three years ago, France, Germany, Poland and United Kingdom leader will travel jointly to Kiev. French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Frederick Merz, UK Prime Minister Kir Stmper and Polish Prime Minister Donald Task are expected to meet Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski on Saturday. The journey is seen as a strong message of European unity. Russian President Vladimir Putin celebrated Victory Day with military pomp in Moscow and reiterated his hardcore stance on Ukraine. A joint statement by four European leaders said for an immediate 30-day ceasefire, which resonates the proposal of US President Donald Trump. He warned that if Russia does not agree, the support for Ukraine will only increase. The leaders said, “We will put pressure on Russia’s war machine.”See also:

Putin has not yet responded to the ceasefire call. Trump has indicated that Ukraine may have to consider leaving the region, but expressed disappointment over Russia’s refusal to prevent war. Meanwhile, diplomatic tension is boiling within Europe. The Prime Minister of Slovakia attended the Moscow parade, while Ukraine and Hungary expelled each other’s diplomats on espionage claims.
