‘Everyone is worried, hurt, scared’: Sunil Chhatra on uncertainty on the future of Isla, urges football news for ‘quiet’

With the Indian football pending resolution and the future of the upcoming season indefinitely, Sunil Chhatri has taken steps to remove the growing concern in the football community. The 40 -year -old gave a message directed to the players, assistant employees and all whose livelihoods depend on the sports game on social media. The Indian Super League (ISL), which was soon ready to start the pre-season, is placed amidst the ongoing discussions between the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and its commercial partners on the league structure and finance. The delay, which began as a two -week adjournment, now extends into the indefinite suspension, triggering anxiety and confusion in the clubs.Chhatri launched his post on an X with a light note, wrote, “When my phone was telling about the delay in the pre-season for a fortnight a few weeks ago, I should admit that I should smile. And because it is because I was on holiday, as much as I liked, it was not as much as I was usually.“But that smile did not move. That ‘fortnight’ has now turned into ‘indefinite’ and that smile has been erased. It has started with anxiety that I am borrowed with the club players with the clubs, I have realized that my selfish problem is not as important.” The experienced striker admitted that the concern is wider not only among the footballers, but also in the vast network of Backerum employees, which keeps the league operational. He wrote, “Everyone is worried, hurt in the Indian football ecosystem, is afraid of the uncertainty that is facing.” Accepting the efforts made by the administrators, Chhatri was hopeful of a resolution. “I know that all those involved in running the think tank and game are working to run and run the football season, and I hope that there is a solid fix soon.”The player once again asked for calm and perseverance, saying that football ‘will start in the country soon.
