New Delhi: India and Royal Challengers Bangalore icon Virat Kohli has revealed the bowlers who gave him the most difficult time in forms in his brilliant career. Speaking at an event before RCB’s IPL 2025 Clash with Chennai Super Kings at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Kohli opened his most challenging opponents with the ball.
In now-viral video, Kohli named experiences of England James Anderson As the most difficult bowler, he faced Test cricket, especially in English conditions.
In Odis, Kohli chose Sri Lankan pace veteran Lasith Malinga as the most complicated, while also admitted that England’s leg-spinner Adil Rashid harassed him in the 50-over format of 50 consecutive overs.
“In Test cricket. James Anderson in England went to cricket ever. I think Sunil Narin, for a consecutive time. For fifteen years. He is still very difficult to choose. This man kills him for fun, but I can’t pick him up.”
When it comes to T20 cricket, Kohli admitted to Kolkata Knight Riders’s mystery spinner Sunil Narin to take it in the most difficult format as the most difficult bowler.
“In Odis, I think Malinga was very good. He was difficult to face. Adil Rashid is very good. He is probably the most difficult ODI spinner I have faced. He is very, very good,” he said.
Kohli is currently enjoying a strong IPL 2025 season, which at an impressive average of 63.29 in 10 matches with 443 runs in RCB batting charts.
