‘Felt like a bomb’: massive explosion rock palm springs, one gave dead information

A powerful explosion shook the California city of Palm Springs on Saturday morning, killing a person and a major response from police, firefighters and federal investigators.The explosion occurred near the North Indian Valley Drive and the Junction of Eastern Tacheva Drive just before 11 am. Officials have urged the residents to avoid the region as the emergency crew works at the scene.The city confirmed the explosion in a Facebook post, stating that the police and firefighters were responding and the situation remained active. “Palm springs police and fire are currently on the scene and request that the residents stay away from the area so that the emergency crew can work for the incident,” the post read.A law enforcement source told NBC News that one person died in the blast. Further injuries were stated immediately, and the identity of the deceased has not been released yet.Alcohol, tobacco, firearm and explosive (ATF) bureau has deployed investigators to assist in investigation. ATF spokesman Nicole Lozano said, “They are on their way to help assess what happened.”The explosion occurred at the American Breeding Center Fertility Clinic. Dr. who runs the facility Maher Abdullah told the Associated Press that none of his employees were hurt. “I really have no clue what happened,” he said. “Thank God that one day today we have no patient.” While the clinic counseling chambers were damaged, the IVF lab and its stored embryos retained.When he felt the explosion, resident Neema Tabariji was in a cannabis dispensary. “The building bus shaken, and we go out and there are large -scale clouds smoke,” he said. “Crazy explosion. Felt as if a bomb was closed ….. we went to the scene, and we saw human remains.”Images shared on social media showed debris across the road in front of several businesses, reporting that they could feel the explosion in some parts of the city.Palm springs are a popular desert destination to its east of Los Angeles known for its luxury resorts and celebrity history.
