‘Focus on protecting the rights of their own minorities’: Bangladesh’s comment on India Murshidabad violence Slam | Bharat News

New Delhi: Ministry of External Affairs (Ministry of External Affairs) On Friday, strongly rejected BangladeshComments about recent communal violence in Murshidabad district of West Bengal urge the neighboring country to address the oppression of minorities within their borders.
“We reject the comments made by Bangladesh regarding the events in West Bengal. It is a difficult and disgruntled attempt to attract parallel with India’s concerns over the ongoing harassment of minorities in Bangladesh, where criminals of such acts continue to roam freely.”
He said, “Instead of making inappropriate comments and indulging in virtuous signaling, Bangladesh would improve to focus on protecting the rights of his own minorities,” he said.
Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary of Bangladesh Chief Advisor, called India to “completely” his Muslim minority population. Alam also denied any Bangladeshi participation in the Murshidabad violence through a statement to the local media.
“We strongly refute any attempt to implicate Bangladesh in communal violence in Murshidabad,” he told the local Daily.
Violence on 11 April during the protest against the WAQF (Amendment) Act, who lost three people and injured several others. Unrest also caused significant property damage and forced several families to flee, some demanded to take refuge in Pakur district of Jharkhand, while others moved to relief camps in Malda.
The Calcutta High Court has ordered a continuous deployment of central forces in Murshidabad to maintain law and order. The court, which will monitor the rehabilitation of the victims, has also directed the officials of political parties including the BJP and TMC to avoid making inflammatory speeches that can spoil the situation.
