FIFA launched its first talent for girls in India in Hyderabad on Saturday, partnered with the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Government of Telangana to provide aristocratic training to talented footballers across the country.The academy, 60 elite players – 30 boys (U14) and 30 girls (U16) located at the Gachibovali Stadium Complex will provide wide year -two training with residential facilities with girls (U16), as well as 10 players from Telangana in each category.This facility will provide high performance training, education, medical care, nutrition and mental welfare assistance to the selected players.AIFF President Kalyan Choubey said: “India’s first FIFA Talent Academy for girls and the second academy for boys is a decisive moment in our journey in our journey. This cooperation with the Telangana government under FIFA’s Global Talent Development Scheme shows our collective resolutions to recognize, nourish and empower young talent – especially girls – from all over the country.,Choubey further said: “This academy will not only take the groom’s elite athletes, but will also inspire a generation of footballers who can dream of representing India at the highest level. It is a proud day for Indian football and U17 is a strong step in our goal to qualify for the FIFA World Cup of men and women.AIFF will manage operations, technical structures, talent scouting and training courses in coordination with FIFA, while Telangana’s Sports Authority will handle infrastructure, logistics, education and players welfare assistance.This initiative aligns with the AIFF’s “Vision 2047” scheme to establish India as a major football nation.Telangana Chief Minister one Revanth Reddy said: “This academy is a game-shineer for girls in football. It is not only the first of its kind in India, but FIFA’s talent is one of the very few people globally under the development plan. Young talent-especially girls-Telangana and beyond the national and international platform will now reach the elite basic infrastructure, education, and a clear route.The establishment of this academy strengthens India’s commitment to the inclusive and structured ground level development of football in the country.
