Indigo flight collides with vulture at 4,000 feet, India makes emergency landing in Ranchi

New Delhi: A Ranchi-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing after a bird came on a plane on Monday, the officials said.The flight had 175 passengers. It landed safely, and all the passengers were untoward, the authorities were asked for news agency PTI.Officials said the Indigo aircraft was flying at a distance of about 4,000 feet, when it suffered a loss after hitting the vulture.“An IndiGo flight faced a bird near Ranchi. The incident was about 10 to 12 miles from here at an altitude of 3,000 to 4,000 feet. IndiGo flight was coming from Patna to Ranchi, and the pilot had to make an emergency landing here,” said “Birsa Munda Airport, Rar Match.He said that all the passengers are safe, but “the aircraft was made into a dent after being hit by the vulture. Engineers are assessing the loss,” he said.The incident took place at 1.14 pm.Another official said that the aircraft, which was coming to Ranchi, was scheduled to go to Kolkata.
