‘Freeze your property’: Canada’s opposition wants terrorist tag for the Bishnoi gang; Kapil cafes cite the attacks

BC Premier David EB, Alberta Premier Daniel Smith and Surrey and Brampton mayors have also called Ottawa to act.The name of the gang surfaced after a fresh shooting at Sharma’s Cup cafe on 8 August – the second in less than a month – in which Surrey Police Service said that many gunmen were involved in the initial hours. No injury was reported, but allegedly a post on social media from gangster Goldie Dhillon, a post on social media, claimed responsibility with the Bishnoi gang.Sharma’s cafe, which was opened on 4 July, was first targeted on 10 July, with a temporary shutdown. In a social media post after reopening, Cafe described the attacks as “heartbreak”, but vowed to remain the place of “firmness against violence” and “warmth and community”.
