From missiles to militia: Iran’s internal war is intensive on dissatisfaction – report

As the tension with Israel increased, the Iranian officials are focused on an aggressive internal crack from the external conflict, marked by mass arrest, execution, and military deployment – especially in the Kurdish regions. On June 13, within the days of Israel’s air strike, the Iranian security forces launched a comprehensive campaign of arrest and established a heavy road presence with extended posts, activists and officials told the Reuters. While some in Israel and in exiled opposition groups hoped that the attacks would trigger a popular rebellion against the Islamic Republic, but the Iranians are not quietly widely angry. A senior Iranian security officer confirmed that internal security has become the top priority, especially in ethnic minority areas. Revolutionary guards and bass paramilitary units have been placed on high warnings in response to concerns over the Israeli agents, ethnic separatist groups and Mujahideen organization of deported people, which has previously staged attacks inside Iran. Activists say that the government is using conflict as a cover to suppress dissatisfaction. “We are very cautious right now,” said a right worker in Tehran, who was imprisoned during the 2022 protest. “There is a real fear that the regime is using this moment as an excuse.” According to the Iranian human rights group HRNA, at least 705 people have been arrested on political or security charges since the war began. Israel has to face several allegations of spying. The media of the Iranian state reported that the works condemned by the Kurdish rights group Hengow said that near Turkish border, three Kurdish men were killed on Tuesday in Urmia. Security officials confirmed the deployment of borders with Pakistan, Iraq and Azerbaijan to call the government a “terrorist”. Iranian Kurdish separatist groups reported arrest of their workers in Iraqi Kurdistan and increased military activity in Kurdish provinces. Ribaz Khalili of the Democratic Party of Irani Kurdistan (KDPI) said that revolutionary guard units had handled schools, conducted a door-to-door raid, and closed the infrastructure in major cities like Karmanshah and Sanandaj. Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK) reported more than 500 opposition members detained since the onset of Israeli attacks. Many Kurdish sources described the atmosphere of fear, in which the aggressive discoveries of individuals, phones and documents were implemented throughout the area with posts.
