‘Ghazan deprived of human dignity’: More than 20 countries and European Union called for immediate ceasefire, urge political roadmap for permanent peace

A group of 28 countries, with the European Union Commissioner with equality, preparation and crisis management, jointly called for an immediate end to the war in Gaza, warning that the human crisis has reached the destructive new levels. The joint statement shared on the official website of Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong called an immediate political process to ensure long -term peace and security in the region. The signators condemned dealing with the help of the Israeli government in Gaza, saying, “Israeli government’s support model is dangerous, deprives fuel volatility and human dignity.”The statement said more than 800 Palestinians have been killed while trying to reach food and water, and criticized what it called the “drip feeding” of aid.“We condemn the drip feeding and inhuman killing of citizens including children, demanding to meet our most basic needs of water and food. It is terrible that more than 800 Palestinians have been killed demanding assistance.” The statement said, quoted by ANI. “The Israeli government has denied the human help required for the civilian population, unacceptable. Israel should follow its obligations under the International Human Law,” said this. It also condemned Hamas for the continuous detention of the hostages carried out during the October 7, 2023 attacks, and called for his “immediate and unconditional release”. The statement said that a conversation ceasefire offers the best hope of achieving their return. The signators urged Israel to take immediate ban on humanitarian aid and allow United Nations agencies and NGOs to do their lifetime work safely and effectively. The statement also strongly opposed any proposed forced displacement of Palestinians under the guise of the “human city”, calling such measures a clear violation of the International Human law. Criticizing Israel’s ongoing disposal expansion, warned that the newly announced E1 settlement plan will serious the Palestinian areas and face the “major violations” of international law, effectively destroying hopes for a two-state solution. “It should stop,” the statement read, a rapid increase in violence in West Bank including East Jerusalem was also mentioned.
