The group says it is an “independent” organization that is not associated with any government or political party, the news agency AFP report. The mission comes after two earlier efforts to assist Gaza in June and July, blocked by Israel, in which the soldiers were riders on the ships and the activists were detained before they were expelled.

Previous Travel: Made of Madelleen

On 9 June, Israeli naval forces rode a British-flying boat, Madeline. The ship was powered by the Palestinian freedom Flotila alliance, as it attempted to break the naval blockade of Gaza. Gita Thunberg was among those on the board. The vessel planned to provide assistance including rice and child formulas and draw attention to the humanitarian crisis.Israel’s Foreign Ministry captured the vessel and rejected the mission as a stunt, calling Thunberg “antisemite”. The ministry posted on X, the ministry said, “Some time ago, ‘Selfie Yot’ was docked in the ASDOD port.Israeli’s Defense Minister Israel Katj ordered the army to block the ship, in which the journey was described as promotional for Hamas. The activists were detained in international water before returning to their domestic countries. In a picture, the crew was raised with his hands in a life jacket. Hamas condemned the seizure as “state terrorism”.

‘Mission is not over’

The United Nations special synergy on human rights in Palestinian regions, Franceska Albanis supported Flotila launched in June and called more boats to challenge the blockade. He said, “Madleen’s journey may end, but the mission is not over. Each Mediterranean port will have to send boats with assistance and solidarity to Gaza. ,Israel has maintained a naval blockade of Gaza as Hamas had controlled in 2007 citing the need to stop arms smuggling. The Israeli-Gaja war was launched by Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack in which more than 1,200 people were killed. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, 61,000 Palestinian deaths have been reported.
