According to trade analyst Sacnilk, the film collected an estimated Rs 5.75 crore on its release day. This strong performance follows a strong opening week, where the film gave Rs 119.15 crore, with the Tamil version contributed to the lion’s share. The film maintained its pace in the second weekend, matched its Friday collection and brought its total pure earnings to an impressive rupee of Rs 130.65 crore.

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, ‘Good Bad Ugly’ recorded a overall Tamil occupation of 36.16%. The day began with a medium 21.18% voting for the morning show, which increased with the progress of the day continuously. In the afternoon show, 36.99%of the occupation, the evening shows climbed to 38.54%, and the night shows reached a notable 47.94%.
The Telugu version of the film also showed a stable engagement, with a overall occupation of 17.66% on the same day. The morning shows started with 18.71% voting, drowned a little to 15.40% in the afternoon, and then stabilized at 18.29% and 18.25% respectively in the evening and night shows. While the Telugu number is more modest than the Tamil version, they show the cross-regional appeal of the film.
About the film
Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film is a high-octane action entertainer, who brings together in a powerhouse cast of Ajit Kumar, Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Rahul Dev, Yogi Babu, Priya Prakash Warrier, Tinu Anand, Jack Shroff, Sunil Verma and Saiji Shind.
The film is about AK, also known as “The Red Dragon”, a notorious Mumbai Crime Boss, who optics to surrender to the police in 2007 in the hope of leaving his violent life behind and reuniting with his family. After spending 18 years in jail, AK is released and ready for a lost time with his family. However, AK’s plans for a peaceful family life are shattered when Vihaan is suddenly arrested and accused of drug use.
