Today a foundation is laid. ,AAP candidate Gopal Italia was speaking shortly after winning the Wiswader by -election by a margin of more than 14,000 votes.Gadhvi said, “This is the victory of farmers and unemployed youth, farmers, farmers. This is the victory of the people of Gujarat.”The seat of Vishwavadar was vacant in December 2023 after Aap MLA Bhupendra Bhayani resigned and joined BJP. At Bipol held on June 19, former state president Gopal Italia secured 65,295 votes after 18 rounds of 21 rounds, leading BJP’s Kirit Patel, who got 51,222 votes by 14,073 votes. Congress candidate Nitin Ranparia finished third.Despite its dominance in Gujarat, the BJP has not won Viswadar since 2007.
