“I feel quite ready and I am eager to play. I am 100% fit and well prepared because I have played a practice match. In cricket, when you get a difference of two-three months, no matter how much you practice, you don’t gain confidence until you do not play a match. I think the first match (will) will be very important for me.”
Asked about the team’s performance under the team so far, Akash Deep said, “In cricket, the performance is not under our control. Even though only three matches have been played, but there are many positive aspects for our team. Despite our four fast bowlers being injured, the way we performed in the first three matches are many good things with America.
“We have seen in IPL matches during the last two years, you cannot predict a safe target. There are examples when teams have failed to protect 240 or 260. If our fast-bouling unit is together, we have a balanced side.”
On switching from RCB to LSG, Pesar said, “Jersey can change, but the person will remain one. I feel very good with this franchise. I have not spent much time with the team yet, but the time I spent, the preparation was about 2-3 days during the camp, it was very good and I think I was already very good with coaches.”
On Zaheer Khan’s franchise’s mentorship, he said, “I am lucky to have the opportunity to play under such a great coach, even if it is only for 2-3 months. His international experience is excellent, and he will fix and improve my skills and my weaknesses and variations.”
Asked how much LSG speed sensation Mayank Yadav’s rehabilitation is being injured, he said, “I believe it would be good if he can join the team soon.”
