New Delhi: In Gurugram, the police have arrested five people, including a woman and her neighbor, to kill their husband and hide their bodies. The victim, Vikram (37), was a resident of Dundera village and originally from Nawada in Bihar. His wife, Soni Devi (35), was allegedly in a relationship with the main accused, his neighbor Ravindra (34).According to the police, during interrogation, Vikram’s wife Soni Devi confessed that she and the main accused, her neighbor Revinder (34) conspired to kill her husband, when her daughter discovered one of her pornographic videos on Ravinder’s phone and informed Vikram. Investigators said that both of them conducted online research on murder methods before executing the plan.Soni Devi initially filed a missing complaint for her husband at Udyog Vihar police station on 28 July. She had filed another complaint on 31 July, alleging that Rabindra raped her in March, while her husband was away for work.He claimed that Ravindra had made a video of the incident and threatened that if he told anyone about it, he would make the clip public.After preliminary investigation, the police arrested Ravindra, who allegedly confessed to killing Vikram. Two other people, Manish (19) and Faraed (20) were also detained for assistance in crime. The three were sent to five days police custody on Saturday.Additionally, Ravindra’s uncle, Santapal (60) was arrested on the same day, who was arrested for helping Dafan Vikram’s body. He was also sent to five days custody on Sunday. Meanwhile, Soni Devi has been sent to judicial remand.It was during interrogation when Ravindra claimed that he and the woman were in a relationship, according to a police spokesperson.During interrogation, Ravindra told the police that on July 26, he and his associates forcibly pulled Vikram into a car while he was returning home from work. They strangled her with a rope and later buried her body near Mohammadpur Jharsa village. Based on Ravindra’s disclosure, the body was recovered from the burial site.Police said Soni Devi admitted to having a relationship with Ravindra for almost a year. She revealed that Ravindra had recorded one of them pornographic videos, which her daughter accidentally found her phone and later informed Vikram.Police said that both Ravindra and Soni Devi had done online research to plan the murder. Police spokesperson said, “Both accused, Ravindra and Soni Devi saw various methods on the Internet and YouTube to kill Vikram and settled the body after the murder.”As part of the plan, Ravindra approached his uncle, Santarpal, who takes care of cattle in Mohammadpur Jharsa village. “Ravindra killed with his friends, then Vikram and his uncle and his uncle helped him bury the body in a pit, which was already dug on the instructions of Ravindra by Santarple,” the official said.Investigators also confirmed that Soni Devi was in regular contact with Ravindra by phone during this entire episode. The spokesman said, “To mislead the police, she first filed a missing report of her husband on 28 July, while the woman knew that her husband was murdered on July 26 and her body was buried. We are questioning the accused.”
